AUSTIN, Texas — One person is in the hospital after a house fire involving "multiple explosions" at a home in far East Austin. Eddie Martinez, a division chief with the Austin Fire Department (AFD), said AFD got a "medical call" at 10:06 a.m. Friday at a home in the 4600 block of Imperial Drive, near FM 969 and FM 973. AFD said it had received reports of a disturbance inside a home associated with "multiple explosions, fire, and smoke" inside.
