Texas man sentenced to 3 years in prison for kicking cat 'like a football'

A Beaumont, Texas man, Donaldvan Williams, was sentenced to over three years in federal prison for animal abuse after kicking a cat like a football, an act recorded and shared on social media.

He pleaded guilty to animal crushing and aiding and abetting.

The incident occurred in October 2021, and the cat was severely injured.

Another man, Decorius Mire, who recorded and encouraged the act, was sentenced to 18 months in prison last year.
