Man fatally shot by officers after he pulled a gun, police say

One man is dead after he was fatally shot by officers while trying to break into an apartment Saturday night in Northwest Dallas, police say.

The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of Norwalk Avenue, Dallas police said.

Police said when officers responded to a call of a man attempting to break into an apartment, the man pulled a gun.

After the officers gave him verbal commands, officers fired at the man, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said no officers were injured during the incident.
