This week’s CCI Speer “Academic All-Star” is another example of today’s high school senior who has a very bright future and is really participating in the game of life.
Meet Jerod Murray who has a 3.7 GPA and never hesitated in his answer about his favorite classes saying, “Personal finance is one of my favorites. I love math, I have always loved math and then both band and choir together. I love music. Music has always been part of my life.”
Jerod works at the Kooskia Café four night a week. He is his class representative for the fourth year in a row. He belongs to the Business Professionals of America and had a special announcement saying, “I'm being inducted into the National Honor Society.”
Before Jarod’s shoulder injury, he played two years of basketball and three years of tennis.
When I asked him what his plans are after high school, he replied, “I actually got my acceptance letter to U of I two weeks ago. So, I plan on majoring in accounting at U of I and minoring in theatre and music.”
Jarod shared his biggest dream saying, “My biggest dream, be an actor. I love acting.”
Congratulations Jerod Murray, you’re this week’s CCI Speer Academic All-Star.
