Geraldine “Gerri” J. Lawrence, 91, of Kokomo, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 11:15 a.m. at Wesley Manor in Frankfort, Indiana. She was born October 10, 1931, in Francisville, Indiana to Scott T. and Mary (Moore) Graham. She married Kenneth R. Lawrence on September 1, 1966, in Clarksville, TN and Kenny survives.
Gerri retired from Delco Electronics with 38 years’ service as an inspector for General Motors. She was a member of UAW Local #292 in Kokomo. She enjoyed working, gardening, canning, garage sales and new cars.
Surviving family include her husband Kenny Lawrence of Kokomo; her daughter, Brenda (DeVault) Adkins; her grandchildren, Brent and wife Susan Adkins; William “Chad” and wife Kimberly Adkins, and Jeremy and wife Sherri Adkins. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, Hali Downs, Kevin Adkins, Anna Adkins, Matthew Adkins, Josiah Adkins, Jaryd Adkins and Jakob Adkins. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Charles DeVault and Phillip “Duane” DeVault and two sisters, Louise (Graham) Pfledderer and Gerri’s twin sister, Kathleen (Graham) Waymire.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 30th at Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Gerri’s life will take place at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 31st also at Murray Weaver Funeral Home with burial to follow in Bedford Cemetery in Monon, Indiana.
