Amber Alert issued for missing Wichita child

An Amber Alert was issued for Trevawn Strong Jr., 5, in Wichita on Wednesday.

The Wichita Police Department told the Kansas Bureau of Investigation Strong was forcibly taken from his mother by his father, Trevawn Strong Sr., using a knife and firearm during a domestic incident in the 2000 block of South Grove in Wichita.

The KBI said Trevawn Jr. is in imminent danger. The suspect left in a vehicle, but that vehicle was found in the 1900 block of N. Woodlawn Ave, south of 21st.

Trevawn Jr. is black and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts, and black shoes, and he has his hair in a ponytail.

Trevawn Strong Sr. is 30 years old, 5',10", 175 lbs. with long, hair. He has facial hair, tattoos on his arms, chest, neck and under the eye.  Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts and red shoes.
