Wichita Police investigating overnight shooting

A 19-year-old was hospitalized after being shot near downtown Wichita early this morning.

The shooting occurred just after 2:25 a.m. near the River Vista apartments at 150 N. McLean Blvd. The victim told Police he arrived at the apartment complex with an unknown woman and other individuals, when a number them suddenly began to panic and flee. The victim turned around and an unknown man shot him.

The victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect has not been found.
