The Knoxville Public Reading Program is underway. It will run from May 30 through July 12 according to Holly Shelford. Shelford is the Youth Services Librarian, overseeing programs at the library, working from babies through the age of 18.

Shelford tells KNIA/KRLS News, “This year our theme is called Find Your Voice, and so what they would need to do is they are going to get a reading log  and they are going to read for 20 minutes for 30 days in that timeframe.”

If they read for 30 days at the end of the session in July they bring their reading log back to the library to collect prizes. Children can still sign up for the reading program, stop by the library to pick up a reading log.
