The Knoxville and Indianola Girls Soccer Squads opened up the spring sports seasons for both programs in 2023 on Monday night on The Pitch at Randy Wilson Track in Knoxville, and it was the Indians who came out on top 4-0 over Knoxville. It did not take long for Indianola to get the scoring start just 9:00 into the match when Angelika Miller scored to make it 1-0, then with just under 2:00 left in the 1st half, Remy Sivertson allowed Indianola to take a commanding 2-0 lead. Camden Palmer and Adrianne Sinclair put in goals in the 2nd half to make the final tally. Knoxville is 0-1 on the season and will host Grinnell on Friday while Indianola is 1-0 and will travel to Southeast Polk on Thursday.
