Chaos Erupts Among NY Residents Over Large Migrant Shelter

Despite the protests and local unrest linked to the shelter, City Hall maintains that the facility is necessary to accommodate the influx of over 214,000 migrants in the city since 2022. “With over 210 emergency sites currently operating and hundreds of new arrivals continuing to arrive in New York City every week, we have been out of good options for a while now,” a City Hall spokesperson stated.
