Knewz.com has learned of one such puzzle where the viewer has to locate a well-hidden pharaoh’s mask amidst a detailed Egyptian scenery.
The challenge is to spot the mask within 30 seconds.
It might prove to be quite a challenge as the painting is quite complex, with rivers, pyramids , houses, and even the famed Sphinx far in the background.
However, here is a hint—the pharaoh ‘s mask is quite ornate and quite different from the other objects seen in the picture.
Spotting the mask within 12 seconds or less would mean that the person possesses exceptionally sharp eyesight.
If this is proving quite difficult, here is another hint: One needs to look closely at the sides of the pyramids seen in the picture.
With this hint, the answer should be fairly simple!
On the topic of ancient Egypt , it is worth noting that scientists have recently been able to reconstruct the face of a 1,500-year-old mummy with the help of a CT scan.
It has been reported that the mummy belonged to a woman from Roman-occupied Egypt who died in her 40s.
The cause of her death is suspected to be Tuberculosis.
Knewz.com wrote in a previous report that the mummy had not been unwrapped since its discovery in 2011, as archeologists and scientists alike intended to preserve the woman’s remains for as long as possible.
“The structure is very well preserved, in the original state of discovery, without the mummy being unwrapped,” said Cicero Moraes, the lead expert in charge of the project.
“Something that draws attention is the presence of short, curly hair, which can be seen in the tomography reconstruction,” Moraes added.
“Initially, we reconstructed the skull, based on the computed tomography [medical imaging using numerous computer-processed combinations of X-ray measurements to produce a cross-section], and later adjusted the position of the jaw.”
“The skull allows us to design structures such as the nose, ears, eye position, lip limits and others, using data measured in tomography scans of living people,” he explained.
“Furthermore, we use measurements carried out using ultrasound, also on living people, to find out the thickness of the soft tissue in different regions of the skull.”
The reconstructed image showed that the woman had a “delicate, youthful-looking face” with short, curly hair, and a bit of an overbite.
If this challenge given above proved easy, Knewz.com has a brainteaser that could be a bit of a headscratcher.
It is said that solving this puzzle within 14 seconds would prove that the person has 20/20 vision and the IQ of a professor .
The image comprises eight red and blue dice divided into three rows and asks the viewer to spot the missing numbers.
The first two dice in the top row are red and have five and three spots respectively. The third one is blue with two dots. The second row contains a blue dice with three dots and two red dice with two and five dots respectively.
The third row contains a red dice with two dots and a blue dice with five dots, followed by a question mark. The viewer has to choose the appropriate dice from the given options to complete the sequence.
