Klamath County Sheriff's Office welcomes new K9 team

KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. —
The Klamath County Sheriff's Office has a new furry face among its ranks.

K9 Blitz is a 2-year-old Belgian malinois trained in explosives and patrol.
The Sheriff's Office says K9 Blitz is assigned to the department's newest handler, Sergeant Ryan Kaber.
Sergeant Kaber has been with the Klamath County Sheriff's Office since 2008 in various roles.
Monday was Sergeant Kaber and K9 Blitz's first time working as a team.

The Sheriff's Office says the team will be certified annually through the Oregon Police Canine Association.
