ORIGINAL STORY:
A police chase through multiple counties ended with not one but two stolen vehicles.
Just after noon on Wednesday, a call came in about a stolen vehicle in Sullivan County.
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers told KTVO the vehicle was determined to be a pickup truck stolen from Adair County a day or two ago.
The suspects abandoned the truck in Putnam County before stealing a second pickup.
Troopers say the driver led law enforcement on a short chase before getting stuck along Highway 149, south of Martinstown.
KTVO talked to a witness on the scene who said the truck went through five fences on his daughter's property before the driver crossed over Highway 149.
The truck then got stuck in a ditch along the highway.
The subjects were apprehended a short time later. We're told they suffered minor injuries.
No one else was hurt in the chase.
The Missouri Highway Patrol along with sheriff's offices from Putnam, Sullivan and Schuyler counties and the Missouri Department of Conservation all reported to the scene.
The patrol is withholding names until formal charges have been filed.
