WV Beerfest set to take place this weekend
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) -The Inaugural West Virginia Beerfest is set to take place this weekend at Mylan Park. The festival is the newest of it’s kind to the local area and is all about celebrating everything craft beer. The tasting event looks to promote not only fine craft beer produced in the mountain state, but also through out the region. Officials like Jaime Summerlin will also look to take advantage of the weather; now that the weather has fallen in line with the spring season. This weekend provides the perfect opportunity to throw on some shorts, get some sun on your face, and sip some beer.

As a WVU student and native of Bridgeport, West Virginia, Scott Simons never expected his music career to take off. “I couldn’t have envisioned it when I was a student at West Virginia,” he said. “I didn’t know what was possible in the music industry, I thought you had to be a celebrity, or you had to be a famous, very successful songwriter.”
