My recent visit to Red's Old 395 Grill in Carson City was nothing short of delightful. This unique dining venue, nestled between Lake Tahoe and Reno, is a treasure trove of culinary delights. The moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the Old West museum setting and the amazing decor. Mining and fire memorabilia hung everywhere, creating an atmosphere that was both intriguing and inviting.

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Starting January 1, 2024, a 25-cent fee will be applied to each disposable cup and food container provided for to-go orders at food establishments in Truckee. Like the disposable bag fee at grocery stores, the 25-cent fee is intended to incentivize customers to bring their own reusable cup or food container.

Since 1939, the Blind Boys of Alabama have been recording and writing some of the most memorable gospel music in the U.S. The group has its roots at the Institute for the Negro Deaf and Blind in Talledega, Ala. and since then, has performed with some of music’s most celebrated artists, including Mavis Staples, Stevie Wonder, Tom Waits, Peter Gabriel, Bonnie Raitt, and Bon Iver. They are currently on tour and will be bringing their mix of Christmas and Gospel tunes to Nashville Social Club in Carson City on Dec. 14.
