Work will start soon on two related pavement patching and pavement marking projects on U.S. 54 in Kingman County.

The Kansas Department of Transportation projects will be on the same portion of U.S. 54: from the Pratt County line east to the west Ninnescah River bridge. The length is about 5.4 miles.

The work is expected to start around April 3 and be completed around Sept. 15.

During the work, traffic will be restricted to one lane each direction, and motorists will be directed to drive at a reduced speed.

The map below shows the projects’ location, marked in red.
