Strong winds with gusts over 40 miles per hour pushed a grass fire in Kingman County Monday. Kingman County Dispatch confirmed around 10 p.m. that the fire has been put out.
The fire was north of U.S. Highway 54 and NW 110th Ave. At its largest it was as big as three miles long and three miles wide. Families in the areas were notified, but there were no evacuations.
The Kingman Fire Department, Cunningham Fire Department and Reno County Fire Department were all on the scene. A task force was activated to help assist in putting out the fire. No word of any injuries or structure damage.
