KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH) — Route 101 is closed for repairs after a car drove into a utility pole last night in Killingly.

A few minutes after 10:00 p.m., state police’s Troop D responded to 448 Hartford Turnpike for reports of a collision near the railroad tracks. Authorities say a car crashed into a utility pole.

There was one occupant in the vehicle, a 17-year-old male who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Route 101 near Soap St. remains closed as Eversource and the railroad company work to repair damages.

Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact Trooper Gaertner at 860-710-4377.
