Coroner ID’s man killed in head-on crash on Hwy 58

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified a Bakersfield man who was killed in a head-on crash on Highway 58 near Edison Road.

Coroner officials say Marco Antonio Caballero Flores, 39, of Bakersfield, was the driver of a vehicle that collided head-on with another vehicle at 2 a.m. Saturday.

Flores was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol of the Bakersfield area is investigating the crash.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of Flores’ death.
