Man Hit by Vehicle, Killed on 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills Area

WOODLAND HILLS (CNS) - A man was hit by a vehicle and killed Tuesday on the Ventura (101) Freeway in the Woodland Hills area.

Officers were sent to the southbound 101 Freeway near Winnetka Avenue about 6 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured man, who died at the scene.

Some lanes were blocked in both directions of the freeway while an investigation was conducted. All lanes were reopened shortly before 10 a.m., the CHP reported.
