Wellington Road to experience a weeklong, single-lane closure starting April 29
A portion of Wellington Road in Breckenridge will be closed from April 29 and May 4. The east end of Wellington Road, approximately between Corkscrew Drive and Reiling Road, will be reduced to one lane of traffic in order to relocate utilities that will be used in the construction of the Stables Village housing development. The lane closure will occur Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The town said it anticipates a single day of full closure sometime in mid-May.
Popular Colorado mountain road will be closed in 2025
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. — The road that takes visitors up one of Colorado's most popular 14ers will be closed for all of 2025 due to construction. According to a release from the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, improvements to a section of Mount Blue Sky (formerly Mount Evans) Scenic Byway will impact visitors in 2024 and 2025. Construction will begin in late July or early August of 2024, with a temporary lane closure in the project area near Summit Lake.
