Authorities arrest teen suspect for threats

Authorities have arrested a Key Largo teen on felony intimidation charges for reportedly making threats to other teens.

Authorities issued a warrant and arrested Coral Shores High School student Issac Rodney Holmes, 18, on Monday, March 18.

The arrest stems from threats he made to students who attend Key West High School, according to an arrest warrant. Authorities were concerned that Holmes may have been on school bus traveling from Coral Shores to Key West High School for a sporting event, and they searched the bus, but Holmes was not on it, according to the arrest warrant.

Deputies tracked down Holmes through a video he placed regarding the incident on the social media platform Snapchat. The video depicted Holmes with what may have been a gun in his pants, but he later told deputies that it was a BB gun and he threw out the weapon, the arrest warrant stated.

“Holmes has been involved with several altercations at Key West High athletic events and is known to school administration county-wide,” the warrant stated.
