Hendricks gets 15 months, loses license over Kettering police chase

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — The woman who led Kettering police on a chase through Miami Township is headed back to prison.

Angela Hendricks, 36, of Miamisburg, pleaded guilty to one count of vandalism and one count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer (serious physical harm/substantial risk).

Hendricks will be serving nine months to the vandalism charge and six months for the failure to comply charge, which she will serve the time consecutively. As of the sentencing date, her driver’s license will not be reinstated for the rest of her life.

On Tuesday, Dec. 5, Kettering officers tried to conduct a traffic stop on Hendricks on Lamme Road, but she hit police cruisers and fled the scene. She led Kettering officers on a chase through a section of Miami Twp.

Around the intersection of Fox Run and Mad River roads, Miami Twp. officers conducted a PIT (Precision Immobilization Technique) maneuver to slow Hendricks down. Around 8:30 p.m., the chase ended at the intersection of Lois Circle and Southlea Drive at Mad River Road, which is roughly 1,400 feet from the Dayton Mall parking lot.

The Miamisburg woman is being made to pay $3,550.45 in restitution to the Kettering Police Department.

Hendricks was facing a misdemeanor drug paraphernalia offense, but that was dismissed.
