KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Kettering-native Nancy Cartwright is giving back to her hometown.

Notably-known for voicing Bart Simpson on “The Simpsons,” Cartwright provided a donation of $100,000 to Kettering’s Rosewood Arts Center Reinvention and Renovation campaign.

Since the voice actor continues to stand behind with her hometown, the city of Kettering says Cartwright will be recognized through “The Nancy Cartwright Painting and Drawing Studio.”

“I am thrilled and deeply honored to contribute to this incredible art facility,” Cartwright said. “I truly believe that the expansion and survival of our culture depend on our unwavering support for both art and artists. The Rosewood Arts Center stands as a beacon for bringing hope and inspiring greatness in others.”

Kettering Mayor Peggy Lehner says the city is grateful for Cartwright’s commitment to the Kettering community.
