A THIRD MAN PLED GUILTY TODAY TO VOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER AND ARMED ROBBERY CHARGES STEMMING FROM THE SHOOTING DEATH OF KENNETH KELLEY. THE FORSYTH COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE SAYS JACOB TOWNSEND WAS SENTENCED TO MORE THAN NINE YEARS IN PRISON. PROSECUTORS ALLEGED HE AND TWO OTHERS, C.J. In June of 2018, Kenneth Kelley advertised illegal drugs for sale on social media.

Three men sought out Kelley to purchase narcotics and went to his home.

This escalated into a robbery resulting in Kelley's death.

He was shot in front of his fiancée and two teenage family members in their home on June 23.
