Evacuation orders were lifted in several areas throughout the county Monday as residents brace for another storm system dropping snow and rain on Kern.

Residents could return Monday to a portion of Wofford Heights, Kernville, Wasco/Pond and Poso Creek areas, according to the Kern County Fire Department. Calgary Tract on Cane Peak Court is still under an evacuation warning because of potential landslides, KCFD reported.

Flood control berms were placed along north of Poso Creek areas that were compromised, KCFD wrote.

Rain will begin drizzling over Kern County starting early Tuesday morning and pelt the county intermittently throughout the day. There’s also supposed to be heavy rainfall Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service Hanford station.
