Kentucky weather tomorrow: Back to hazy sunshine

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Finally! A healthy bit of rain fell across the bluegrass Wednesday with a nice wide swath of 0.4’’ to 0.6’’ through central Kentucky and eastern Kentucky.

As of 4 p.m., Wednesday 6/7/2023

This will certainly be beneficial for lawns and gardens, but we’re still behind by over -2.5’’ of rainfall for 2023. There is more rain in the forecast down the line, but we must deal with more toasty temperatures and hazy sunshine first.

MORE KENTUCKY NEWS:

Overnight temperatures drop into the low 50s. We’ll even see a few places hit the upper 40s. Clouds will clear, and we’ll move back to the sunshine Thursday.

High temperatures will rebound toward the mid-70s and it will certainly feel pleasant. We will get plenty of sunshine, but smoke from Canadian wildfires will once again bring a milky hue to the sky.

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

Some smoke will filter down to the surface, so anticipate some unhealthy levels for sensitive groups as we close in on the weekend.

High temperatures will climb toward 80 Friday, and we’ll see the mid-80s return for Saturday and Sunday.

The next big thing brings us more rain chances late Sunday and into the start of next week. A few stronger storms will be possible, but the much-needed rain will be welcomed again.
