Kentucky (FOX 56) — Every year, bargain hunters travel 400 miles down U.S. Highway 68 to get the most bang for their buck.

Over 700 yard sales will pop up across 60 counties, including Boyle, Mercer, and Jessamine, from June 1 to 4. Spanning from western to northern Kentucky people will find yard sales, barn sales, sidewalk sales, garage sales, multi-vendor sites, businesses, and nonprofits that are all a part of the annual 400-Mile Sale.

Tara Hall, 400-Mile Sale director, will travel U.S. Highway 68 live on Facebook to highlight participating vendors such as the Marshall County Humane Society. The humane society will be hosting an adoption event with 31 other vendors.

Servant Heart Farm in Jessamine County is hosting over 50 vendors and food trucks and is still accepting new sales to add to their multisite location. Hall told FOX 56 that “Wilmore will see the largest turnout, ever.”

Despite the 68 road closures at Pekin Pike/KY 33 and the Jessamine-Mercer County line, Jessamine County will likely be the star of the show with the large sales in the Talbot neighborhood, Barkley Estates, and the Servant Heart Farm.

“We’re having to take a detour around the Wilmore area.” Hall advised “If you’re planning on attending please plan ahead. Know where your sales are and where you’re headed.”

Planning a trip or avoiding detours? The 400-Mile Sale has provided a comprehensive list of participants as well as maps and directions to various sites, hotels, and nearby restaurants.
