Kentucky weather today: Warmer Memorial Day, spotty rain possible

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The cool air that impacted the Commonwealth on Sunday will be short-lived, as warm air will be racing back into the region over the next few days.

Of course, Memorial Day is a day that we remember and honor those U.S. servicemen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Expect highs on Memorial Day to reach the mid- to upper 70s to around 80º with some spotty rain potential. Look for Memorial Day to feature a blend of clouds and sunshine.

Later in the week, we’ll be tracking The Next Big Thing as some real-deal warmth builds in. Afternoon highs make a run at 90 degrees, especially by Friday.

Overall, our rain chances remain spotty at best through the work week and continue through the upcoming weekend.
