KEENE, NH – A busy weekend lies ahead in the Elm City with various events going on.

The Keene Young Professionals Network is set to hold their third annual Taste of Keene Food Festival in Downtown Keene this Saturday. The event runs from 11:30-4 PM and will feature various food vendors and other activities.

The Keene Police Department has issued the following road closures and parking bans that will be in effect on Saturday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM:

Road Closures:
Central Square
West Street from Federal Street to Central Square
Roxbury Street from Roxbury Plaza to Central Square
Washington Street from Vernon Street to Central Square
Court Street from Winter Street to Central Square
Main Street (both sides) from Central Square down to Gilbo Avenue and Railroad Street
Railroad Street from Main Street to the West edge of the Vision parking lot

No Parking:
Central Square
Washington Street from Central Square to City Hall parking deck entrance
Court Street from Central Square to Mechanic Street
Winter Street, first three spaces from Court Street, both sides
Roxbury Street from Central Square to Roxbury Plaza
Main Street from Central Square to Gilbo Avenue and Railroad Street, both sides
Railroad Street from Main Street to Wells Street

Foot traffic is encouraged for both the festival and for Downtown merchants and restaurants.

The Keene ArtWalk also began this Friday and will continue through the festival and into next week. Organizers will be in Railroad Square during the food festival for “Art is Everywhere!”, with live music, demos, and interactive activities led by local artists.

Looking ahead to Sunday on the west side of the city, the Keene Family YMCA will hold the 2023 Kids Triathlon from 9 AM to noon. To safely facilitate the bicycle portion of the triathlon, Keene Police say Summit Road will be closed from the YMCA entrance to Summit Ridge Drive to both parking and traffic from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Drivers should avoid these areas during those timeframes and be aware of potential delays and detours.
