6h agoKearny police have released police body camera video from an incident involving a fight between a pit bull and Yorkshire terrier.
Joel Perez was walking his Yorkie when the pit bull attacked, according to police. Perez is then seen on Ring doorbell video appearing to pick up the pit bull and slam it on the ground twice before neighbors intervened.
Perez faces animal cruelty charges.
The pit bull is owned by Peggy Andrade. She was charged with having an unleashed dog and having a dog running loose.
