The 5th Annual Fishing with First Responders has three dates for those who want to attend the free family event.

According to the Nebraska Firefighters Museum, the events will take place Wednesday, May 24 (Cops & Bobbers); Wednesday, June 21 (Reels & Rescues); and Tuesday, July 25 (Hooks & Ladders). The events will last from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. all three nights.

They will take place at the Firefighters Museum Pond behind the museum at 2834 E 1st St in Kearney.

At the events, you can fish with the Kearney Police Department, Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Good Samaritan EMS & Air Care and the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department.

The events are in partnership with Nebraska Game and Parks who will provide all fishing equipment.
