CLAY COUNTY — A Lawson man was seriously hurt in a wreck early Tuesday, June 6, after his car struck a horse in the roadway of U.S. Highway 69. According to a highway patrol crash report, the collision occurred before 4:30 a.m. when Curtis C. Trawick, 56, of Lawson, drove a 2002 Acura northbound on U.S. 69, south of Robyn Lane. After the impact with the horse, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road overturned.

Northmoor murder suspect on suicide watch
A Northmoor man is in custody charged with the murder of a man in an apparent road rage incident at a Northmoor strip mall. Phillip Frazier, 50, is being held without bond, on suicide watch, at the Platte County Detention Center, charged with second degree murder and armed criminal action. He is scheduled to appear back in court on Tuesday, June 13 for a preliminary and bond hearing.
Liberty Man Arrested On Multiple Charges in Daviess County
A Liberty man was arrested on multiple charges, including five outstanding warrants, Monday morning in Daviess County. According to the arrest report from Troop H of Highway Patrol 44-year-old Liberty resident Daniel A. Stanford was arrested at 6:36 A.M. for a pair of Moniteau County misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear on traffic charges, two Clay County warrants for failing to appear on traffic charges, and a Lathrop Police warrant for failing to appear for traffic violations.
Elderly Kearney Man Escapes With Minor Injuries In Sunday Accident
An elderly Kearney man was lucky to escape with only minor injuries after hitting an Interstate guardrail and rolling down and embankment Sunday morning in Clay County. Troop A of the Highway PAtorl says 87-year-old Kearney resident Darrell D. Peters was driving a 2022 Chevy Trailblazer southbound on I-35 at mile-marker 19 when he approached traffic that was congested due to an unrelated stalled vehicle.
Monday Morning Accident Leaves Two With Serious Injuries
A three-vehicle crash on Route 210 in Clay County early this (Monday) morning has left two people with serious injuries. Troop A of the Highway Patrol says 2015 Chevy Impala being driven by 48-year-old Independence, Missouri resident Michael W. Fisher crossed the center line of the highway and struck a 2000 Ford F250 before striking a 2021 Ram 2500, causing that truck to roll over.
Liberty Man Facing Drug and Weapons Felonies After Ray County Arrest
A Liberty man is facing drug and weapon felony charges after being arrested over the weekend in Ray County. According to the arrest report from Troop A of the Highway Patrol, 23-year-old Liberty resident Damon L. Hollis was arrested at 8:40 P.M. Saturday in Ray County on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and felony unlawful use of a weapon. He was also cited for speeding, no seat belt, and having excessive window tint.

CLAY COUNTY — A man in one vehicle and a teen in another were seriously injured Monday, June 5, in a three-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 210. According to a highway patrol crash report, the wreck occurred around 5:30 a.m. east of Missouri Highway EE on Highway 210 when an eastbound 2015 Chevy Impala driven by Michael W. Fischer, 48, of Independence, crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2000 Ford F-250 truck driven by Travis R. Anderson, 26, of Henrietta. The Impala then struck a 2021 Dodge Ram 2500 truck driven westbound by Jesse W. Rice, 46, of Richmond. The impact, according to the highway patrol, then caused the Ram to rollover.

The highway patrol reports a Lathrop resident received minor injuries when the sports utility vehicle he was driving hit a pickup truck driven by a Trenton resident. Thirty-two-year-old Chandler Coffey of Lathrop sought medical treatment by private vehicle. The driver of the pickup, 35-year-old Raquel Borders of Trenton, was not reported hurt.
