    Bryant police arrest 12-year-old student in connection with threat against Bethel Middle School

    BRYANT, Ark. – Police in Bryant said that a 12-year-old student was arrested after investigators said she was identified as the person who made a threat against a middle school.

    Officials with the Bryant Police Department said the student was arrested after being accused of making a threat against Bethel Middle School.

    Police said the student was charged with six counts each of communicating a false alarm, terroristic threatening and harassing communications.

    Investigators said the nature of the threat has not been disclosed, but the police department and school officials are taking the matter seriously. As a precaution, police in Bryant said there will be increased security and extra patrol.

    This arrest comes after schools around central Arkansas have received reports of threats made through social media posts. Several arrests have been made in connection with threats made against schools in the Little Rock School District and Russellville School District.

    The 12yr old & parents should be reprimanded as well. They need to be held accountable for this child's actions as well. 🤠
