LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Let’s assume cheeseburgers are the best use for a cow. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s add that National Cheeseburger Day is a thing worth celebrating.

What better way to celebrate than finding out the top 10 central Arkansas cheeseburgers spots rated by Yelp users?

Early McDonald’s menu shows incredibly cheap prices. Have they kept up with inflation?

Adding cheese to a hamburger became popular in the 1920s, although several competing claims out there about who was the first to drop a slab of cheese on a grilling ‘burger. The most popular version is 16-year-old Lionel Sternburger, who added cheese to a burger he was grilling at his father’s Pasadena, California restaurant in 1924.

    Here’s a quick rundown of top-rated restaurants:

10 – The Original Fried Pie Shop

With locations throughout Texas and Arkansas, the Conway location put it on the central Arkansas list. As the name indicates, the offerings are not limited to its brisket-based burgers. Hours 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday – Sunday, 2160 Harkrider Street in Conway.

    9 – Five Guys

A national chain, sure, but the one on Lakewood Drive in North Little Rock got great reviews from users for its cook-to-order ‘burgers and great service.

    8 – Gadwall’s Grill

A family-owned North Little Rock favorite with a range of classic American food offerings and cheeseburgers at the top of its menu was well received. Reviewers complimented the cooking and the prices.

    7 – David’s Burgers, throughout central Arkansas

Great ‘burgers, reviewers write, and great and fast service in a retro-style restaurant. The reviewers spoke higly of all its central Arkansas locations .

    6 – The Burger Shack

Drive-in, dine-in or curbside pickup for this Benton landmark . Despite the name, they have more than burgers, but it being National Cheeseburger Day it only seems logical to go with that.

    5 – Bailey’s Dairy Treat

A family-owned walk-up-window dairy bar in the historic part of Hot Springs . The cheeseburgers get great reviews, as does the rest of the menu and the old-school kitschy building.

    4 – Bennett’s Casual Dining

Great staff and great food in this Sherwood restaurant , with special mentions for the cheeseburgers, with one reviewer calling the fare “very modern meets farmhouse style.” Pictures show a modern restaurant setting.

    3 – Franks

With a name like Franks you know they sell hot dogs, but the cheeseburgers also get top reviews for this North Little Rock site, with a positive mention of the homemade taste from one reviewer. It advertises itself as “The best burgers on McCain,” so there you are.

    2 – Skinny J’s

The Conway location of this Arkansas chain got great reviews for its selection , including its cheeseburger offerings among a long list of menu items. Reviewers had good things to say about the wait staff as well.

    1 – CJ’s Butcher Boy Burgers

This Russellville location , with a second in Fayetteville, has the slogan, “When all you do are burgers, you have to be the best.” The burgers are fresh ground in-house chuck shoulders, served with fresh-cut fries, and the reviewers were fans.

do you get real beef? or is it Lab grown , I don't trust the USDA agriculture anymore because they want us to eat Lab grown meats to save animals, that is why God blessed them so we could eat them 😁👍
