Brittany Mahomes shocked her 1.9 million fans on Instagram with a brand new hairdo that’s sent her fanbase reeling. The 28-year-old retired soccer athlete pulled back the curtain on her new smoldering look, and it’s a big departure from her iconic blonde locks that fans have grown accustomed to.
In her April 11 share (via TMZ), the co-owner of Kansas City Current swapped out her iconic blonde bangs for a fiery red restyle. However, it’s currently a little unclear whether her new blazing hot coiffure is a wig or whether her golden curls have simply been dyed. Mahomes does namedrop the stylist who performed the miracle, though: salon owner and extension specialist Laurabeth Cabott.
A Bold and Shocking Transformation
Opting for a bold copper red shade, the mum of two styled her hair in waves and smouldered as she stared into the camera. Complementing her scorching new transformation, the blonde-turned-redhead paired her new look with a black bandeau top and a pair of black acid wash jeans. Accompanying the series of sizzling pics was the caption, “Feeling spicy🔥🌶️🤭”.
Of course, it didn’t take long before the comments began flooding in, and it’s safe to say that fans were amazed with Brittany Mahomes’ new searing-hot transformation. “ICONIC!!!! This is your color!!!” one fan declared in the comments, which has since garnered 79 likes. A second fan chimed in, saying: “That color is SO 🔥” netting 128 likes. A third netizen went on record to say: “Casually breaking the internet on a Wednesday afternoon… that last pic 😵🔥” snagging 476 likes.
Meanwhile, another follower wrote: “Ginger friend😍😍😍” and amazingly, Brittany Mahomes replied to this comment, saying: “so honored 😂😊”. Clearly, the former soccer player is absolutely loving her new hairdo, which feels like a huge about-turn from her usual golden curls. The share has managed to accrue over 218,000 likes in just 24 hours.
Earlier this year, the wife to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes conducted a beach shoot and interview for Sports Illustrated, and went on record giving some sage advice, saying: “Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself. People are going to love you or hate you, but finding your values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters.”
