KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Detectives are investigating a homicide Monday morning in Kansas City, Missouri.
A KCPD spokesperson said officers were called around 9:15 a.m. Monday to respond to the 4500 block of Paseo Boulevard on a reported shooting.
When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male, later identified as 24-year-old DeMarkus Pleasant, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the Paseo Fast Stop.
Pleasant was pronounced dead on the scene.
