A Kansas City man is arrested in Montgomery County for throwing bricks of cocaine out of his car while trying to outrun deputies.

The pursuit of Romone Fisher began early Monday morning in Pike County.  Officials there contacted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to report Fisher was headed their way on Highway 161.  Officials report that during the pursuit, Fisher was throwing brick-sized packages of a white powdery substance from the vehicle.

The pursuit ended just south of Middletown when Montgomery County deputies successfully deployed a spike strip, deflating three of Fisher’s tires.

While searching the vehicle, deputies noticed the interior of Fisher’s vehicle was covered in a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine.

Fisher is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, second-degree drug trafficking, and tampering with physical evidence.  He’s being held with no bond.

At the time of his arrest, Fisher was wanted for violating federal probation.  He’s currently being held in the Pike County Jail.
