THIS 551 RIGHT NOW AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT OUR TWO SAY FORECAST. HI NICK. GOOD MORNING. JUST A FEW SHOWERS AND SNOWFLAKES SHOWING UP ON FIRST ALERT LIVE RADAR AND DRIZZLE AND LOW CLOUDS. THAT’S BACK OVER KANSAS CITY. THOSE SHOWERS ARE HERE IN CLINTON, SEDALIA, INTO CENTRAL MISSOURI ALONG 65 HIGHWAY UP TO CARROLLTON, CHILLICOTHE AND TRENTON. WE COULD EVEN SEE A FEW SNOWFLAKES, EVEN AS FAR BACK TO THE WEST AS I-35. LIBERTY INDEPENDENCE, UNITY VILLAGE, BLUE SPRING SHOWERS SWEEPING THROUGH RIGHT NOW. LOW CLOUDS AND DRIZZLE BLANKETING THE REST OF THE METRO BACK OVER ON THE KANSAS SIDE TO KCK. SEE THOSE LOW CLOUDS RIGHT NOW? IT IS A COLD AND DAMP MORNING. IT’S 35 DEGREES, SO WE’RE ABOVE FREEZING. SO I’M NOT CONCERNED ABOUT ANY SLICK SPOTS HERE IN KANSAS CITY. IT FEELS LIKE 26 DEGREES. SO IT’S ANOTHER DAY. WE’RE GOING TO NEED OUR WARMER COATS, BUT IT’S A DAY THAT WE’RE GOING TO CHANGE THINGS UP ON OUR 12. OUR FORECAST FROM THIS MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON BECOMING SUNNY AND YOU’LL SEE THAT HAPPEN OVER LUNCH TIME INTO THE EVENING WITH THE SUNNY SKIES. IT’LL STILL STAY CHILLY. AIR TEMPERATURES ONLY REACHING INTO THE LOW FIFTIES. HERE’S AN UPDATE TO THE SEVERE RISK ON FRIDAY. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM YESTERDAY MORNING. THE CHANCE IS HIGHER FOR A STRONGER SEVERE STORM. NOW HERE AT 65 HIGHWAY, MARSHALL, SEDALIA AND WARSAW, AND ESPECIALLY INTO CENTRAL AND EASTERN MISSOURI. THIS IS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING, THOUGH THOSE STORMS MAY DEVELOP AS FAR BACK TO THE WEST, A STATE LINE IN THE METRO, WHICH IS WHY WE’VE INCLUDED KANSAS CITY IN ON THE POTENTIAL OF A STRONG A SEVERE STORM FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO NOW’S A GOOD TIME TO START PREPARING, MAKING SURE YOU HAVE A SEVERE WEATHER PLAN IN PLACE IN MULTIPLE WAYS TO RECEIVE ALERTS. LOOK AT THE WARMTH AND WIND ON OUR FIRST ALERT NICE DAY FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. 70 MID SEVENTIES, PROBABLY THE WARMEST IT’S BEEN IN MANY, MANY MONTHS. IT DOES GET CHILLIER, THOUGH, DONN
