GARNETT AT 27 DEGREES. WE LOOK AT OUR 12 HOUR FORECAST FOR TODAY IN KANSAS CITY. WE HAVE SUNSHINE WITH MORE CLOUD COVER AT THE VERY END OF THE DAY, BUT NO RAIN CHANCES AS THOSE CLOUDS THICKEN UP. TEMPERATURES IN THE FORTIES FOR LUNCH TIME AND WE ONLY MAKE IT TO ABOUT 50 DEGREES HERE IN KANSAS CITY, WHICH IS TEN DEGREES BELOW NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. WE SHOULD HAVE A LOT MORE SIXTIES ON THIS HIGH TEMPERATURE MAP AND WE HAVE FORTIES AND FIFTIES OVERNIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE OF A FEW LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS MIXING WITH SOME SNOWFLAKES FOR TOMORROW MORNING’S DRIVE. YOU SEE THOSE LIGHT SHOWERS THERE? HERE IN KANSAS CITY, ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF I-70. IT’S POSSIBLE THAT WE HAVE A FEW SLICK SPOTS AS WELL BECAUSE TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BELOW FREEZING TOMORROW MORNING. BUT AT THIS TIME, WE’RE NOT EXPECTING WIDESPREAD HEAD IMPACTS. ONLY A FEW. AND WE LOOK AHEAD TO FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING, THE HIGHEST CHANCE OF SEVERE WEATHER RIGHT NOW LOOKS TO BE EAST OF 65 HIGHWAY INTO CENTRAL AND EASTERN MISSOURI. BUT THOSE STORMS MAY DEVELOP AS FAR WEST AS INTERSTATE 35. AND KANSAS CITY WILL HAVE RAIN IN THE MORNING. AND THAT WILL PLAY A FACTOR IN DETERMINING WHERE THOSE STORMS DEVELOP. FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING AND HOW STRONG THEY BECOME. BUT THIS DOES LOOK LIKE A PATTERN FOR THUNDERSTORMS, YOU KNOW, FOR A BIG CHUNK OF REAL ESTATE. THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.
