MADNESS COVERAGE THROUGHOUT THE WEEK. SEARCH CREWS IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS CONTINUE TO LOOK FOR A FATHER AND SON FROM KANSAS CITY THAT WENT MISSING LATE LAST WEEK. CHUCK MORRIS AND HIS SON CHARLIE WENT OUT KAYAKING THURSDAY AFTERNOON ON BEAVER LAKE. THAT’S IN BETWEEN BENTONVILLE AND EUREKA SPRINGS. THEY NEVER RETURNED. CREWS FOUND THE KAYAKS AND ONE LIFEJACKET, BUT STILL HAVE NOT FOUND ANY OTHER SIGN OF CHUCK OR CHARLIE. THE FAMILY WAS IN THE AREA FOR A SPRING BREAK TRIP AND NOW MORE FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE THERE TO HELP SEARCH. WE’RE JUST ALSO HERE FOR ONE ANOTHER. IT IS DEVASTATING FIGHTING AND AND TRAGIC. A search for the pair was suspended Thursday due to poor weather conditions

The search for a missing father and son from Kansas City, Missouri is scheduled to continue Monday after the pair went missing on a spring break trip to Arkansas.Search crews were out on Beaver Lake in Garfield, Arkansas searching for 47-year-old Charles Morris and 20-year-old Charley Morris. The father and son were out kayaking while on a family Spring Break trip. They were last seen Thursday. The two were last seen near the Lost Bridge area of the lake. “We've got Benton County Sheriff's Office, we've got our dive team, our search and rescue teams," Lt. Shannon Jenkins told KMBC 9 sister-station 40/29.Jenkins, with the Benton County Sheriff's Office, said deputies suspended the search Thursday night because of the weather. Jenkins said one kayak and one jacket were found Thursday, and a second kayak was found on Friday morning. Temperatures dipped below freezing at the lake Thursday into Friday. The cold temperatures and high winds have made the search more difficult for search teams and dive crews. "The wind was definitely not in our favor," Jenkins said. "A lot can happen with that out here on the lake."The sheriff's office is asking any boaters or people who live in the area to keep a lookout for the kayakers. Family friends are also asking anyone who goes hiking in the area this weekend to keep an eye out for the two men.If you have any information, you're asked to call the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
