Police have identified a woman that died after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon.
63-year-old Gayla Ann Freeman was hit by a car near 10 Street and Central Ave in Kansas City, Kan.
Police say the driver is cooperating with police after the vehicle initially left the scene.
The incident happened around 3:10 p.m. on Monday.
KCK police say the woman was attempting to cross the street at a traffic light in the area.
Freeman was rushed to the hospital but later died.
Police are still investigating the case.
