According to a press release, Kanawha County Deputies received a “Tip” yesterday, just hours after posting a stolen 20-foot, blue Sport Craft fishing boat and trailer on its Facebook page and through media correspondents.
The fishing boat and trailer are valued at approximately $20,000.00 and were stolen Saturday morning in the Chelyan area of Kanawha County. A citizen who had been following the story reportedly saw the boat at an address on Scenic River Road in Procious, West Virginia (Clay County) and quickly submitted the “tip”.
The investigating deputy, T.S. Dubiel was informed of the “tip”, and he contacted the Clay County West Virginia State Police Detachment. Sergeant Chapman of the West Virginia State Police was provided the case information and went to the scene on Scenic River Road where he located and recovered the stolen fishing boat and trailer.
