    Hello everyone!

Plenty of sunshine will be seen today along with breezy southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph. Temperatures will respond, soaring into the upper 90’s and low 100’s. Amarillo should top out near 100, which would break a record high from 1956. Also, as of this writing, a slight chance for isolated thunderstorms will be possible across our central and eastern counties this evening. Severe weather is not expected, but be aware of lightning, sudden downburst winds, and brief heavy downpours.

Tomorrow could be a carbon copy of today with highs in the 90’s to near 100, while Sunday should top out near 96. The low to mid 90’s look promising for Monday and Tuesday, followed by the 80’s on Wednesday and Thursday.

Regarding additional precipitation chances, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the week.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend, everyone!
