Randall County Grand Jury indicts suspect in June Coulter Street shooting

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department said a suspect involved with a shooting in June on Coulter Street in Amarillo was indicted Wednesday.

According to police, Jared Pearson was indicted on 11 counts of, “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon,” by a Randall County Grand Jury.

As was previously reported by MyHighPlains.com, in June, five vehicles were shot at with one person being directly hit by gunfire and three others who were injured by glass near the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Boulevard and Coulter Street in Southwest Amarillo.

During an investigation, police were able to determine an approximate position of the alleged shooter, identified as Pearson, as having shot from the Windtree Apartments.

After a search warrant was executed for Pearson’s apartment police said they found spent ammo casings and a rifle.
