(WWJ) – Monday marks the official start of spring in the U.S.

But here in Michigan, it also marks something else: the start of Oberon season.

Monday is Oberon Day, a day where Kalamazoo-based Bell’s Brewery welcomes back their seasonal wheat ale, a favorite for craft beer lovers across the state.

While bars and restaurants all across Metro Detroit will be serving up Oberon, Bell’s is celebrating Monday with a special Oberon Day party at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe.

The “Camp Oberon” event, running from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will feature Oberon on tap, as well as eight variations of Oberon, a special food menu and music.

Other bars in Kalamazoo are also celebrating, with eight bars across the city taking part in a bar crawl from 3-11 p.m.
