Super El Niño Pattern Brings Breezy, Humid Weather and Heavy Rain to Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers and Fort Pierce as Some Areas Could Top Their November Rainfall Average
TAMPA, FLORIDA — The Halloween weekend has arrived in Florida, and it comes with a wetter than usual pattern. Temperatures will be near 80 degrees on Halloween evening, Saturday, October 31, with one or two spot showers possible for trick-or-treaters. The weekend will be breezy and humid, with a solid chance of rain on Sunday, November 1. November is typically one of Florida’s least rainy months, but with a Super El Niño pattern setting up, forecasters say climatology is out the window. Rainfall forecasts for the next seven days show some areas could get more rain than they normally see in the entire month of November.

He walked nearly a mile through floodwaters to get to his car that he parked at a nearby 7-11 convenience store. He didn’t park at his workplace because he was worried that his car would be damaged. Fort Lauderdale officials shut down the Las Olas Bridge due to flooding on the north and south side, leading to an intense traffic jam. Robert Tate, a retired police
