Deputy recovering after Jupiter crash that shut down Turnpike access at Indiantown Road for hours

Two people, including a Palm Beach County deputy, were injured in a crash near the Florida Turnpike in Jupiter on Thursday.
WPBF 25 News learned Friday the deputy is at home recovering after being admitted to St. Mary's Medical Center. Officials say though he is in pain, he is expected to make it.
The other driver involved is stable, alert and conscious, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The accident happened at 4:50 a.m. near the Turnpike exit on Indiantown Road. The collision involved a truck and a deputy cruiser. Both cars had severe front-end damage.
The truck driver was also taken to the hospital.
