City of Carthage notifies residents of planned power outage
CARTHAGE, Texas (KETK) — SWEPCO will be replacing poles in Carthage on Sunday afternoon causing a temporary power outage for some residents and businesses. The City of Carthage said the affected area is between Hunter Road and East Sabine Street and the interruption is expected to last from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

CARTHAGE, Texas (KLTV) - Parts of Carthage are going to be without power Sunday due to a planned power outage, according to the city. The City of Carthage shared that SWEPCO is turning off the power from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday evening between Hunter Road and East Sabine Street.

A new BJ's Wholesale Club could soon be coming to your town. The Massachusetts-based wholesale club chain currently operates 267 locations and 206 gas stations across 22 states, according to the company's website , with the company on track to open 25 to 30 new clubs every two years. The company recently announced plans for a new location in Tyler, Texas, building on the company's debut in the Dallas-Fort Worth area earlier this year with four stores. A company spokesperson told USA TODAY the Tyler location is scheduled to open in the spring of 2027. The chain also launched stores in Kentucky and Indiana in 2026. “Value is the foundation of our company.
