Memorial Day Ceremony in Downtown Jonesboro
Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – May 23, 2024 – The Craighead County Veterans Monument Foundation (CCVMF) will sponsor this year’s Memorial Day ceremony. The ceremony will start at 9 a.m. Monday, May 27 at the Craighead County Courthouse next to the Doughboy statue. Veterans Honor Guard, Sons of the American Revolution Honor Guard, Service organizations, Ladies Auxiliaries and the Sons of Confederate Veterans Honor Guard and Westside AFJROTC will take part in this year’s observance of Memorial Day.
Jonesboro touts large sales tax revenue growth from last year
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - The City of Jonesboro’s sales tax report released in May ranks among the highest collections received compared to other cities in Arkansas. According to a release from the city’s communication department sent to K8 News on Thursday, Jonesboro’s sales tax report released this month shows a combined total of $4.1 million in sales tax revenue collected back in March. That’s because the sales tax monthly report shows the collections from two months ago.
